Museum Guild Meeting with author J. Edward Gray

April 18, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Trouble at Mono Pass Book Cover
“Getting America Back on Track after the Civil War” is the topic for J. Edward Gray, retired attorney and author of Trouble at Mono Pass and New Garden. You may know the speaker as Jim Gray, Greensboro resident and museum docent.

After years of research, Gray decided there was enough interesting material for a compelling story that would take readers to a different time and place. He used his storytelling skills to craft a novel about two Quaker brothers who make decisions that put them at odds with their faith. And it is those brothers’ decisions, for good or bad, that impact the lives of family and friends for three generations. Trouble at Mono Pass takes the brothers to California during the construction of America’s first transcontinental railroad, a story that Gray will share on April 18.

Guests and newcomers are always welcome at Guild meetings. For more information, call Guild President Josie Gibboney at 336.272.2438.
