Unliving History Cemetery Walk & Spooky Stories with Cynthia Moore Brown

October 27, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Costumed interpreter in cemetery

Stroll through the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery next to the museum and encounter costumed interpreters portraying spirits from Greensboro’s past. Learn the stories of Bennett College professor William Edward Farrison, aviator Mary Nicholson, a Revolutionary War Soldier, Vicks Vapo-Rub creator Lunsford Richardson, Judge Elreta Alexander and other figures from our city’s history.

At 3:30 pm, storyteller Cynthia Moore Brown shares a thrilling set of Ghost Stories in the Graveyard. Brown, who has published several volumes of spooky tales and appeared on TV and radio, has been enchanting and frightening audiences at the museum for more than three decades. Bring your blankets, a lawn chair and prepare to have your spine chilled.

Both the tour and the stories are free, family friendly and open to all.

This unliving history and family fun are part of the Greensboro Youth Council’s Ghoulash! Halloween Festival in Greensboro Downtown Parks. For more on other Ghoulash! activities taking place across LeBauer and Center City Parks, visit www.greensboro-nc.gov/departments/parks-recreation/teens/greensboro-youth-council/projects-events/ghoulash.
