PRESERVE HISTORY WITH A LEGACY GIFT TO THE
GREENSBORO HISTORICAL MUSEUM, INC.
It is now possible to help preserve and share the history of our community with a legacy gift to the Greensboro History Museum, Inc. Leaving a gift is a significant estate planning decision that allows you to perpetuate your values for future generations and provide financial benefits to you and your family in the process.
CONTRIBUTE TO HISTORY
The Greensboro History Museum, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization, works in partnership with the City of Greensboro to support the museum. The museum corporation owns the physical collections of the museum while the City of Greensboro provides substantial financial and staff support for the museum as a division of the Greensboro Public Library Department. Past estate gifts have provided for the naming of exhibition galleries and paid internship opportunities for future history professionals.
THE LION HEART SOCIETY AND PLANNED GIVING
The Lion Heart Society honors those who have made future provisions for the Greensboro History Museum, Inc., in their estate plans in any form or amount. You are eligible for membership in the Lion Heart Society if you have named the Greensboro History Museum, Inc., as a beneficiary. This can be designated in your will or trust, IRA or other retirement plan, life insurance policy, life income or other planned gift (charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust, pooled income fund, charitable lead trust or remainder interest in a personal).
Endowments and Major Gifts
A simple and popular way to make planned gifts to the museum includes bequests through your will or trust, gifts of real estate, life insurance, or other assets. A charitable gift annuity can create income for life and slice your tax bill while making an endowment to the Museum. For more information, contact Museum Director Carol Ghiorsi Hart at 336.373.2306.
