SUMMARY:Apply to Participate in MOMSI Survey
DESCRIPTION:Help the Greensboro History Museum understand and improve our social impact! \nWe are seeking participants in a national survey project\, Measurement of Museum Social Impact (MOMSI). \nAnyone can participate. All you have to do is apply at https://museumsocialimpact.org/apply. Then plan to visit the museum three times November 2021-May 2022. After your final visit\, you will be asked to complete a 30-minute online survey regarding your experience. \nThere are a limited number of opportunities to participate in this study\, and participants will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis. Those who complete the survey will receive complementary membership in GHM Inc. and be entered into special prize drawings! Deadline to sign up extended to October 30. \nBoth first-time visitors and regular visitors are welcome to participate. Please share this opportunity with friends and family who might be interested in visiting the Greensboro History Museum and participate in this study. \n[button link=”https://museumsocialimpact.org/apply”]Apply[/button] \nHave questions? Contact Glenn Perkins\, Curator of Community History \nMore information about MOMSI \nWorking with the Utah Division of Arts & Museums\, the Greensboro History Museum will study the social impact we have on our community and assist in refining a social impact tool for the museum field. \nThanks to a National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museums and Library Services (IMLS)\, the Utah Division of Arts & Museums\, in partnership with Thanksgiving Point\, had the opportunity to select museums across the country for the Measurement of Museum Social Impact (MOMSI) project. After a competitive application and review process\, GHM was one of 38 museums selected for the study. \nSocial impact is the effect of an activity on the social fabric of a community and the well-being of those who live there. This study will measure social impact through strengthened relationships\, health and well-being\, continued education and engagement\, and intercultural competency. \nWorking with the MOMSI team in Utah\, our museum will recruit and survey visitors from our local community. The data collected will inform the Greensboro History Museum about our social impact and will provide validated data about the museum field generally. \n
