Brown\, who has published several volumes of spooky tales and appeared on TV and radio\, has been enchanting and frightening audiences at the museum for more than three decades. DESCRIPTION:Artist Edwin Gil will lead a community conversation in the Greensboro History Museum to help us see how despite our differences and diversity we are all connected and are special in our own way. \nFaces of Diversity: Greensboro Project is a community building and character development public art project – with hopes to open up the hearts and minds of participants. Through experiential activities\, project participants are guided by Gil as pieces of their personal stories and color psychology will be joined together to form a large-format piece of artwork using upcycled glass containing the fingerprints of community members. If you’d like your photos to be considered for the book\, come to one of the publisher’s free scanning sessions in October. Two sessions are taking place at the Greensboro History Museum\, Wednesday\, Oct. 17\, 10 am–noon\, and Saturday\, Oct. 20\, 10 am–1 pm. \nDigital files from the scans will also go into the museum archive to help tell our city’s story in a way that represents the diversity of its residents. DESCRIPTION:EXTENDED THROUGH MARCH 24 \n“Beauty is what nature has lavished upon us as a supreme gift.” –Louis C. Tiffany \nThe name Louis Tiffany is synonymous with glass. A traveling display in the museum’s Carlson decorative arts gallery highlights the Tiffany Glass Company’s work of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Items on loan from Roswell\, Georgia\, collector Tom Wester\, features three stained-glass windows\, blown-glass vases and lamps. Also on view are pieces of Tiffany favrile glass from the museum’s collection. \nLouis Comfort Tiffany: Painting with Glass is on display through March 24\, 2019
