Accessibility Information
Museum staff are available during regular hours to discuss accommodations and access. Contact us by email or phone with any questions before your visit to discuss your needs.
- Transportation & Parking
Designated accessible parking is available at the museum entrance, as well as in the free museum parking lots the side parking lot behind the Museum, and lot across the street.
- Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located on the Ground Floor. Additional restroom facilities are available on the Main Floor by the Rotunda.
- Drinking Fountains
Drinking fountains are located on the Ground and Main Floor. Personal water bottles are allowed on the Ground Floor only.
- Service Animals
Service dogs are welcome at the museum. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed.
- Strollers & Bags
Single strollers are permitted in the museum galleries. To protect collections, larger backpacks are not allowed. Visitors have the option to leave bags behind the front desk before exploring the museum.
- For Visitors with Limited Mobility
Front entrance is wheel chair accessible.
Elevator access to all exhibition spaces in the main building
Museum galleries are wheelchair accessible; however, visitors will encounter manually operated doors.
Mary Norris Preyer Hall auditorium is fully accessible, including the stage. Consult with museum staff regarding access.
A wheelchair is available to borrow onsite.
Historic buildings in Mary Lynn Richardson Park and the Historic First Presbyterian Church have limited accessibility due to uneven pathways and stairs. Consult with museum staff regarding access.
