Tickets go on sale August 20 for another delightful production of 5 by O. Henry, set for September 5 – 8 and 12 – 15 with evening and matinee shows. Greensboro’s own William Sidney Porter and other talented actors retell five engaging short stories (The Sphinx Apple, A Retrieved Reformation, Christmas by Injunction, The Ransom of Mack & The Ransom of Red Chief) in a play filled with laughs, lessons and surprises. Vintage American music, performed live, adds a finishing and crowd-pleasing touch. Audiences agree that our original adaptation by playwright Joe Hoesl and artistic director Barbara Britton bring out the many delights of O. Henry’s short stories.
