Why did members of the Society of Friends, better known as Quakers, decide to move here in the 1700s? How were place names chosen, and how did believers influence the development of our community? These are just a few of the questions Dr. Max Carter will address today in “The Quaker Presence in Guilford County: A Firm Foundation.” Social time begins at 10, followed by the program at 10:30.
