Fun Fourth: Project Democracy 20/20 Preview Party

The forecast is for fun at the museums during this year’s Downtown Greensboro Fun Fourth Festival. Drop by  to cool off, have a snack and celebrate with us as we preview Project Democracy 20/20, a yearlong initiative officially starting this December.

July 4 visitors will have a chance to learn more about the Smithsonian traveling exhibition American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith and other Project Democracy 20/20 activities. There will be fun activities for all ages related to voting, as well as snacks, special videos and a chance to see original posters of Norman Rockwell’s 1943 paintings celebrating President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms.

As a special Fun Fourth bonus, visitors can try out the WFMY TV traveling weather station and make their own forecast! It’s part of a celebration of 70 years for the Greensboro station.
