100 years of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority will be featured in the first installment of the Greensboro History Museum’s series Greensboro Black Greek Letter Organizations. From debutante scholarship balls for local high school students to providing supplies to new mothers through their Stork’s Nest program, Zeta Phi Beta’s Beta Nu Zeta chapter has served greater Greensboro and Guilford County for decades.
Guest speaker Dr. Arwin Smallwood, Chair of the Department of History and Political Science at North Carolina A&T State University, will address the sorority’s legacy and impact and the larger role of black Greek letter organizations on campus and within the city.
The Greensboro Black Greek Letter Organizations series is part of a broader look at the history of service organizations that help shape Greensboro. Stay tuned for more programs coming soon.
