History Lunch Break: Remnants of the ORD

June 11, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

Free

Between 1943 and 1946, more than 330,000 soldiers passed through Greensboro’s Overseas Replacement Depot (ORD), the largest World War II military base in a US city. O.Henry Magazine contributor Billy Ingram joins us to talk about his explorations of the largely forgotten history of the ORD and what remains of it in Northeast Greensboro.
