Lifted Voices: Black History

Costumed interpreters in the museum galleries share well-known and little-known stories of African Americans in Greensboro. Featuring Bennett College First Lady Susie Williams Jones, Revolutionary War widow Miley Caper, Spanish American War Veteran Dr. James Elmer Dellenger and many more.

Lifted Voices is a series of living history programs that bring to life people and stories from Greensboro’s past. This is a free, family-friendly program. Join us for history in first person.

Families with pre-K to elementary school kids make sure to drop by early at 12 pm for Little Lions Saturday. Learn more here…
