Acclaimed writer Jessica B. Harris talks about the food and foodways of the African Diaspora at the Greensboro History Museum with with Dr. Love Jones, Executive Director of Human Rights at the City of Greensboro.
Dr. Jessica B. Harris is the author of 12 critically acclaimed books documenting the foods and foodways of the African Diaspora including High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America. Her cookbooks are inducted into the James Beard Cookbook Hall of Fame and she was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the same organization. She was a professor in the English Department at Queens College, CUNY for 50 years until her retirement.
