The museum and its surrounds will feature family fun and an Asian Pacific American theme with unforgettable music, dance and crafts. We're celebrating a little early, and with gusto, I Want the Wide American Earth: An Asian Pacific American Story, the Smithsonian traveling exhibition opening September 24!

Join us as we celebrate the Lunar New Year observed by many Asian Pacific cultures. We will kick off the "Year of Rooster" with family-friendly make-and-take crafts. Stay tuned for more information!

Visit with and learn from costumed actors who’ll be portraying people from local African American history. Among the people we will feature this year are Revolutionary War soldier Ned Griffin, Warnersville leader Harmon Unthank, volunteer fireman D.E. Lovett, NCA&T educator Margaret Falkener, politician Zoe Barbee and astronaut Ron McNair.
