Greensboro-born painter Malvin Gray Johnson fought in WWI and became a significant figure in the Harlem Renaissance movement before his tragic death at age 38. Kenneth Rodgers, Director of the North Carolina Central University Art Museum, discusses Johnson's artistic career and legacy.
