During his lifetime, Dr. John M. Murphy (1916-2003) assembled one of the most comprehensive collections of Confederate Civil War long arms, which he generously donated to the Greensboro History Museum in 1998.
This display features more than two dozen important pieces from that collection, illustrating weapons and technology, places, and people of the Civil War.
